Have you ever found yourself packing for a trip and asking, “Can I bring my CBD oil with me”? Don’t worry, we have been there also! Packing can be stressful enough; luckily we have 3 tips you need to know before traveling with your CBD.
- It’s Legal – In May 2019, the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) announced that hemp derived CBD oil is allowed as long as it carries under a 0.3% THC limit in compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill also known as the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018.
- Be Proactive – Make sure you are familiar with where your CBD is from. We always recommend asking the company you purchase from if they have 3rd party lab result showing potency and safety. This can ensure that your CBD oil has been tested for any contaminants and the amount of CBD and THC in order to be considered legal under the 2018 Farm Bill with under 0.3% THC. We recommend this because you are consuming it and you should be familiar with what you are putting in your body. Another reason is because there are different types of CBD oil and some will have higher amounts of THC which makes the product illegal on a federal level. If you have access to the 3rd party lab results (ours are located on our product pages), that is one less thing to worry about while traveling.
- US Only – The above recommendations are for domestic travel only. We do not advise international travel with CBD because legality in different parts of the world vary.
Now go enjoy your trip and feel your best with your CBD across the country!
